Black River Campground is a campground within the Peggs Beach Conservation Area, managed by the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania.

Black River campground is very popular with locals and spots are at a premium during the summer holiday season. Secluded sites among trees are next to the Black River estuary. The campground is attractive but facilities are basic. There are no powered sites.

There are pit toilets and a hybrid toilet. There is no safe drinking water at this campground. Water from the campground tank should be boiled for at least three minutes or treated before drinking.

No bookings are taken. Campgrounds are allocated on a first come, first served basis and payment is via a self-registration deposit box at the site.​ Total site number and capacity are estimates only. Always check local signage and the PWS website for campfire restrictions before lighting a campfire. Please take all rubbish away with you. Generators can be used from 10am to 8pm.
