Fossil Bluff, a 23 million-year-old sandstone headland, is an ideal destination for those looking to uncover their adventurous spirit. It features a stunning swimming beach alongside a well-maintained, moderate-level walking trail with stunning ocean views and friendly wildlife. When the tide is low, the cliffs unveil fascinating fossils embedded in the sandstone layers. Additionally, the beach offers a treasure trove of shells waiting to be discovered and collected.

Doctors Rocks is a stunning destination along the renowned Coastal Pathway, featuring its vibrant blue ocean and a rich variety of native flora and fauna. A whimsical public art chair has just been installed making it a great photo opportunity, as well as a relaxing stop to sit and enjoy the view. It is also a conservation area is home to a significant number of little penguins!
Inglis River & Walking Track
The Inglis River flows into the Bass Strait Ocean, and on a clear, sunny day during high tide, the river bursts into life with brilliant shades of blue and lush greenery. The scenic 12 km walking trail along the banks of the Inglis River begins at Gutteridge Gardens and concludes at Fossil Bluff. This riverfront area is perfect for families looking to enjoy BBQs, swimming, or boating, as it features an accessible boat ramp for jet skis and other watercraft.

The Wynyard Foreshore Market is one of the region’s most popular markets, recently featured in The Hobart/Launceston Mag December Edition. Held the first and third Sunday of every month, 8am -2pm, it is a dog friendly, local market with a little bit of something for everyone!
