Japa Hill Farm and Animal Sanctuary

Camp out on our 25-acre farm and animal sanctuary in the fertile valley of Preolenna, in Tassie’s lovely northwest. Campers have access to power and excellent sweet and soft well water, as well as toilet facilities.

Access for all types of vehicles is good, with plenty of space to turn around. This is a farm animal sanctuary, guests are asked to respect animals by not cooking animal products whilst you stay.

Japa Hill Farm also grows sunflowers, potatoes, and other vegetables on the farm. Welcoming guests to camp or stay in one of vacation rentals on the property. Guests love staying here! They particularly enjoy the meandering bush walks that lead to lakes and hidden waterfalls.

Japa Hill makes for a safe base to explore the region, with Boat Harbour just 30 minutes drive and Cradle Mountain two hours away. The Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal is just 74 minute’s drive away.
