Plan

Iconic Cradle Mountain is a place of exceptional natural beauty in the heart of the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area. From ancient rainforests to snow-covered mountain peaks, and glacial lakes, the park is known all over the world for its diverse and breath-taking landscapes.  This spectacular national park provides plenty of opportunity to encounter iconic Tasmanian wildlife including the Tasmanian Devil along the world-class walking tracks available to explore.  These tracks range from shorter walks that pass through beautiful old-growth rainforest to the legendary Overland Track from Cradle Mountain to Lake St Clair.  For day trip visitors, take the two hour walk around picturesque Dove Lake or the Weindorfers Forest Walk. Whether you are with the family, hiking boots aren’t your thing or a serial adventurist, Cradle Mountain can be enjoyed in a number of different ways including Canyoning, Kayaking on Dove Lake, meeting the local Devils amongst many other things.
