Whether you’re in a van, towing a caravan or camping with a tent, a collection of magical places await you on the North West Coast of Tasmania. You really are spoilt for choice on the North West, no two places the same each giving off unique experiences and showing off what we have to offer.

We’ve pulled together our camping spots to experience the North West as soon as you drive off the Spirit of Tasmania in your home away from home.

 

Naranwantapu National Park – Bakers Point Campground

Cost: From $13

Located in Narawntapu National Park, you’ll be living the best of both worlds. A quiet,
spacious, and private area, settle in amongst the trees or along the beach. Choose from
powered sites or be self contained this breathe taking National Park you’ll even make some
friends in the local wildlife.

Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park – Devonport

Cost: From $30

A little slice of paradise in Eugenana. Calling all wine lovers, this is a spot for you. By the
river and a short walk to ‘Prickly Mo’ for a platter and wine (or a few).

Discovery Parks – Cradle Mountain

 

Make a visit to the renowned Cradle Mountain National Park, nestled amidst stunning natural bushland. Establish your retreat in this serene spot and set out to discover a diverse array of walking trails, activities, and exciting adventures waiting for you. Here are some helpful ‘things to know’ before you set off on your Cradle Mountain adventure.

Stanley Cabins and Tourist Park

Looking for your perfect family camping spot? This is it. The Historic Village is home to ‘The
Nut’ an ancient volcano, trust us when we say you can’t miss it! Fill up your days fishing,
bike riding, walking along the raw coastline or venturing up the Nut.

Manuka Campground – Arthur River

The spot for anyone and everyone. A large, grassed area so no matter your entourage there
will be room. Endless exploring awaits you from the ‘edge of the world’ lookout to Trowutta
Arch Sinkhole.
