Illuminate Winter in Tasmania’s North West

This winter, something special is happening across Tasmania’s North West. From the wild West Coast to the rugged coastline of the North West, we’re flipping the switch on long nights and lighting up the region with stories, sound, and stunning visuals.

Illuminate the North West is a season-long celebration of winter, community, and creativity. Five iconic locations. Five immersive projection experiences. All free to attend!

Whether you’re a local or planning a winter getaway, these light shows are about deep diving into place, history, resilience and renewal – all mapped onto buildings that have shaped the stories of each town.

What to Know Before You Go

    • All shows are free, but bookings are essential at set locations
    • Visuals are projection-mapped to iconic buildings in each town — no two shows are the same.
    • Dress warm – this is winter in Tassie, and we’re embracing it!
