Plan

Devonport is a thriving riverside city gateway to the North West and hosts the Spirit of Tasmania ferry on its voyage to and from Geelong, Victoria.

Featuring great beaches, popular fishing spots and a variety of watersport fun, the city is also home to numerous walking and biking tracks that crisscross their way throughout the most scenic spots in the city and beyond.

Follow the walking trail along the river and you’ll arrive at The Bluff – the heartbeat of the city with the iconic lighthouse standing at the mouth of the Mersey River, and the bustling beachfront frequented by locals and tourists alike.

Sample the amazing produce available at the local cafes, bars, restaurants and authentic paddock to plate experiences at the local farm gates. The region also boasts world class wineries and distilleries, perfect for a little indulgence.

Once you’ve experienced the vibrant city, escape to The Tasmanian Arboretum – a peaceful 66 hectare botanical tree park nature reserve which features picnic spots, a platypus observatory and a bird hide on the shore of Founders’ Lake.
