Weindorfers Forest Walk

Weindorfers Forest Walk

Weindorfers Forest Walk is a walk in Cradle Mountain – Lake St Clair National Park.

20 minute circuit, 750m circuit. Grade 2.

Perfect for families, this lovely stroll takes you through a beautiful rainforest, where you’ll see ancient King Billy pines, pandani and Tasmania’s renowned deciduous beech (Fagus).

The track leaves from Waldheim chalet and takes an easy grade through the forest. Take your time to view the displays in the rustic chalet to catch a brief look at the life of the Weindorfers, who played a key role in the preservation and history of this area.

Please refer to the Parks and Wildlife Service Tasmania website (parks.tas.gov.au) for up-to-date information about this walk, alerts, closures, safe walking guidelines, leave no trace principles and National Park entry fees where applicable.
