We’re in a remote part of Tassie, so sorting meals in advance is a smart move. After a big day on the water, Tranquills Catering has you covered. If you’re after a casual bite, Tasmazia Café is right on the rowing doorstep. Grab a coffee, grab some lunch, and maybe even get lost in a maze while you’re at it open 8-4pm daily. Many accommodations also offer in-house dining and catering options, so check ahead to avoid any last-minute surprises.
And after a long day? Spreyton Cider Co. is the perfect place to unwind. The cellar door will be open until 7 pm from March 24-30, so you can enjoy a well-earned drink and soak in the atmosphere. Cheers to that!

There’s more to the North West than rowing, and if you’re looking for something extra to do, you won’t be short on options. Leven River Cruises & Pedal Buggies are open all week, because let’s face it—you can’t row all the time!
If adventure is calling, Cradle Mountain has plenty to offer, from kayaking on Dove Lake to canyoning for those keen to take it up a notch. Wings Wildlife Park is another must-visit, where you can meet Tassie devils, and plenty of other local wildlife. And of course, for food lovers, Tasting Trail is full of endless options to discover the best produce the region has to offer.
For something quirky and fun, Reliquaire is an absolute must-visit! This whimsical store in Latrobe is packed with treasures, think gifts, books, puzzles, homewares, and some seriously cool collectibles. It’s a wonderland for kids and adults alike.
If you prefer to stretch your legs in nature, the short walks of North West Tasmania offer some breathtaking scenery. Whether it’s a coastal stroll, rainforest trek, or a waterfall lookout, there’s something for every pace and fitness level.
