Getting here

Sail from Geelong and roll off in Devonport Tasmania with your own car, caravan or campervan. Or fly direct from Melbourne into Devonport or Burnie Wynyard. Coming from Launceston or Hobart is a drive west along the A1.

Getting around North West Tasmania

The towns, lookouts and farm gates are spread along a long coast, so wheels help. Bring your own or hire one, and check the coach routes before you rely on them. Devonport Tasmania to Stanley is about an hour and 45 minutes, if you can resist every lookout.

What’s the best time of year to visit?
